Execution Report: Jerry McFadden

Continued from Page 1

McFadden, who called himself "Animal," had a history of violent crime. In 1973, he was convicted of rape and sentenced to 15 years in prison. He served 6½ years of that sentence. In 1981, he was convicted of aggravated sexual abuse and sentenced to prison again. He was paroled in 1985.

A jury convicted Jerry McFadden in July 1987 of the capital murder of Suzanne Harrison and sentenced him to death. The Texas Court of Criminal Appeals affirmed the conviction and sentence in November 1993. All of his subsequent appeals in state and federal court were denied.

McFadden declined to make a last statement at his execution.
