A jury convicted Norman of capital murder in October 2008 and sentenced him to death. The Texas Court of Criminal Appeals affirmed the conviction and sentence in February 2011. All of his subsequent appeals in state and federal court were denied.

Ker'sean Olajuwa Ramey was convicted of capital murder and sentenced to death. He is on Death Row and is scheduled to be executed on 23 September 2026.

In 2010, Norman posted a message on a web site where Death Row prisoners solicit pen pals. He wrote he felt abandoned by his family. "I love my family and its hard not having them behind me, some days more then others but still my main objective is to survive so that I can live for my kids."

"I've made some wrong turns in my life but I like to think of myself as a genuinely good person," Norman wrote.

Norman fathered three children while he attended high school. Two of them attended his execution, along with his sister and a friend. No one attended on behalf of his victims.

Norman declined to make a final statement. The lethal injection was administered, and he was pronounced dead at 6:44 p.m.
