Charles Anthony Boyd, 39, was executed by lethal injection on 5 August 1999 in Huntsville, Texas for the murder and robbery of a woman in her home.

On Monday, 13 April 1987, Mary Milligan decided to stay home from work to rest her ankle, which she had injured over the weekend. Some jewelry and other items from the apartment had been stolen, as had Milligan's car.

Milligan was the third north Dallas woman in less than a year who was found drowned in her bathtub. The others were Tippawan Nakusan, 37, who was found on 24 July 1986, and Lashun thomas, 22, who was found in the same apartement complex on 15 September 1986. The murders were known locally as the "bathroom slayings."

Boyd, then 27, was arrested the day after Milligan's murder, after pawning some of the missing belongings. He lived with his brother and his brother's girlfriend across the hall from Milligan. He also lived in the same apartments as the other two victims at the time of their murders. After his arrest, he confessed to all three killings.

In addition to his confession, Boyd was linked to Milligan's murder by blood and hair evidence.
